Up till January 5, more than one crore people had registered for the seventh iteration of PM Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 on the MyGov website.
Students in classes 6 through 12 can participate in the online multiple-choice question competition (MCQ) between December 11, 2023, and January 12, 2024, via the MyGov portal. Teachers and parents can also access the competition. More than 8 lakh teachers, over 90 lakh students, and almost 2 lakh parents have registered as of January 5.
In light of this, a variety of school-level events will be planned in advance of the main event, which takes place from January 12, also known as Youth Day, to January 23, 2024. These events will include learning experiences like marathon runs, music competitions, meme contests, nukkad natak, student-anchor-student-guest talks, etc. A painting competition will be held in 500 districts nationwide on January 23, which is also Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti's birth anniversary. The subjects will cover Chandrayan, India's sporting achievements, and other subjects that demonstrate how exams may be a Utsav of Life.
About 2050 candidates will be chosen for PPC 2024 based on their answers to questions on the MyGov portal. Selected candidates will receive a unique Pariksha Pe Charcha package, which includes a certificate and the Prime Minister's written Exam Warriors book in both Hindi and English.
The PPC 2024 is set to take place in a town-hall style at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on January 29, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. The Prime Minister will engage with close to 4,000 participants during the program. Winners of the Veer Gatha and Kala Utsav competitions, as well as two students and a teacher from each state and UT, may be invited as special guests for the main event.
